Members Are The Heart Of Our Ministry!

Members are at the heart of the ministry we do at Church of the Good Shepherd. In addition to serving on ministry teams, volunteering, worshiping with us, and supporting the church with their stewardship, members of Church of the Good Shepherd call our pastors, elect our Church Council, and vote on key decisions in the life and work of our church.

Our congregation is growing quickly, and we continue to welcome classes of new members in worship each quarter. All new members are introduced and sponsored by a current member, usually during one of the worship services at the end of the month.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, please contact Pastor Sarah.  A class will be scheduled to fit your schedule. Usually one or two meetings, this class introduces new members to each other and also explores the history, identity, and practices of the United Church of Christ and Church of the Good Shepherd.

The Confirmation process, or Affirmation of Baptism process, is another way to choose membership at Church of the Good Shepherd. Typically attended by 9th-graders or older youth, the Confirmation Class gathers monthly in a retreat-style format to explore faith.  Please contact Pastor Sarah for more details.
