COGS KIDS

Children are a vital part of the ministry at Church of the Good Shepherd!

Sunday School

COGS loves kids!

In-Person Worship with Children

Children are welcome at COGS and we encourage parents to bring children of all ages to our worship services. Our current COVID policy is that everyone entering the building is required to wear a mask, children included.

PRE-School - 5Th Grade

Sunday School is in session from 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM. Classes emphasize the teachings of Jesus, inclusion, selfless love for others, peace, social justice, love of creation, and life-long learning. Classes are divided by grade level and are led by trained teachers. Classes include a snack and a lesson, followed by an activity to supplement the lesson.

One of the highlights at our 10:30 am service on Sundays is the Children's Message. Children join us to hear a special message from Pastor Sarah and participate in a unison prayer with the congregation.

Special Provisions for Parents, Caregivers, and Children to attend our 10:30 AM in-person worship.

Option #1: You are welcome to have your children sit with you in the sanctuary, we have a bag of activity goodies for each child.

Option #2: We have a table at the back of the sanctuary with coloring books, and activities. This is a quiet area with seating for adults along the back wall.

Infant & Toddler Care

Miles and Maria our loving caregivers are here to care for your little ones during worship service. If you are new here, please feel free to introduce yourself and your child to Miles and Maria. Miles has been taking care of COGS kids at Good Shepherd for quite a while now and is excited to get back in the swing of things. Maria is new here and looking forward to working with Miles in our Nursery.

We have age-appropriate toys, cribs, and a changing station.
