WORSHIP SERVICES
Come worship with us at 11:00 AM every Sunday. If you prefer to worship with us virtually, you can participate via Zoom. We also live-stream the service and you can view it on YouTube from your TV or any device.
WE LOVE KIDS!
Children are welcome at COGS and we encourage parents to bring children of all ages to our worship services. Our nursery is open with loving, experienced caregivers. Masks are optional at this time. Social distancing is optional with plenty of seating available.
Sunday School
Children are welcome at COGS and we encourage parents to bring children of all ages to our worship services.
Pre-School - 5Th Grade
Sunday School is available during the 11:00 am service. Classes emphasize the teachings of Jesus, inclusion, selfless love for others, peace, social justice, love of creation, and life-long learning. Classes are divided by grade level and are led by trained teachers. Classes include a snack and a lesson, followed by an activity to supplement the lesson.
One of the highlights of our 11:00 AM service on Sundays is the Children's Message. Children join us to hear a special message from Pastor Sarah and participate in a unison prayer with the congregation.
Options for Children to attend our 11:00 am Service.
Option #1: You are welcome to have your children sit with you in the sanctuary; we have a bag of activity goodies for each child.
Option #2: We have a table at the back of the sanctuary with coloring books and activities. This is a quiet area with seating for adults along the back wall.
Option #3: Children between the ages of 5 and 12 may join us for Sunday School which starts up again August 20, 2023.
Infant & Toddler Care
Our loving caregivers are here to care for your little ones during worship service. If you are new here, please feel free to introduce yourself and your child to Emma, who cares for the children in the nursery.
We have age-appropriate toys, cribs, and a changing station.
If you have questions about Sunday School or Infant Care, please email our church Administrator, Hildegarde, at cogs@ucccogs.org or phone (505) 856-1004,

Our worship services include prayers and liturgy associated with a “traditional” worship service. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Communion, which is open to all who wish to participate. We have an amazing music department which really shines. Music includes an organ, piano, a bass choir, a treble choir, a mixed choir of 35+ voices, a bell choir, as well as small ensembles. We regularly feature special music from guest soloists and groups. As worship services go, this service may still be more informal than many have attended.
We have reserved parking spaces for new visitors directly in front of the church. It's a short walk to the entrance, where you will be warmly greeted and assisted by one of our Ushers.
We are here to serve you and offer an extragavent welcome, however, we want to make sure you are comfortable, so nothing will be expected of you.
We love and honor children, and they are welcome at all services; we have bags with coloring, books, and toys for children who stay in worship.
If your child is comfortable attending Sunday school, we'll take you and your child to meet the teacher and get your child registered. Professional childcare for children 5 and under is also provided from 9:45 am – 12:15 pm.
We dress casually, and greet new and regular worshipers alike, with warmth and kindness. We strive to create a joyful, safe and welcoming environment in worship, and every aspect of our church life. We laugh a lot! We honor God with music of the highest quality, and from a broad number of cultures and languages. In preaching, our pastor seeks to be comforting, challenging, thought provoking and inspirational.
