Getting to Know Us
We're located in the NE Heights area of Albuquerque just off Tramway Blvd. between San Antonio and Paseo del Norte.
Turn left off Tramway at the light at Tramway Terrace. Go 1 block and turn right onto Tennyson. We're at the end of the street on your right. 7834 Tennyson NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.
Note: During the COVID closure, we offer both services via Zoom conferencing. Enter our services by clicking on the button on our homepage.
We have two services,
9:00 am and 11 am. We also offer a Contemporary Theology discussion at 10 am. All are accessible during the COVID shutdown via Zoom conferencing.
The 9 am service is a small intimate gathering with guitar and piano. It typically lasts 30-45 minutes. Music includes hymns, folk music, and contemporary songs. There is a sermon, although it is generally an abbreviated version of the 11 am sermon. This service is “fragrance free,” which means we voluntarily choose not to wear perfumes, colognes, and other artificial scents that affect our members with smell and chemical sensitivities.
11:00 am: The 11 am service This service includes prayers and liturgy associated with a “traditional” worship service. The first Sunday of each month we celebrate Communion, which is open to all who wish to participate. We have an amazing music department which really shines at our 11:00 am service that includes organ, piano, and one of our choirs. Our choirs include a bass choir, a treble choir, a mixed choir of 35+ voices, a bell choir, as well as small ensembles. We regularly feature special music from guest soloists and groups. As worship services go, this service may still be more informal than many have attended.
We have reserved parking spaces for new visitors directly in front of the church. It's a short walk to the entrance, where you will be warmly greeted and assisted by one of our Ushers.
We are here to serve you and offer an extragavent welcome, however, we want to make sure you are comfortable, so nothing will be expected of you.
We love and honor children, and they are welcome at all services; we have bags with coloring, books and toys for children who stay in worship. Most families with children attend the 11 am service, but there is a children’s message at both services.
If your child is comfortable attending Sunday school, we'll take you and your child to meet the teacher and get your child registered. Professional childcare for children 5 and under is also provided from 8:45 am – 12:15 pm. The Hospitality Room across from the sanctuary also broadcasts the service.
We dress casually, and greet new and regular worshipers alike, with warmth and kindness. We strive to create a joyful, safe and welcoming environment in worship, and every aspect of our church life. We laugh a lot! We honor God with music of the highest quality, and from a broad number of cultures and languages. In preaching, our pastor seeks to be comforting, challenging, thought provoking and inspirational.
